Do you ever dream about things being different from the situation that you find yourself in right now?  If you were given the chance, maybe you would like to rewrite some of the chapters of your story?

Sometimes I find myself getting caught up in the trap of wearing labels people have given me or limited by the worst thing that has happened to me.  Placing all sorts of limitations that are based on what I have known in the past or what I have been told by others of who I should be. The risk is that this now defines and puts limits based on what I have only known and experienced in the past.

Maybe you find yourself in a place where your dreams just seem to be a distant memory of the past and you are trapped in a soundtrack that is on repeat…playing over and over again, with no sense of hope or a different future.

Being curious is a powerful act that taps into the superpower of what it means to wonder, encouraging us to explore, question, and reimagine beyond the immediate of what you have known. It is the seed of discovery, fostering a sense of openness and possibility. The power of wondering lies in its ability to challenge assumptions and push boundaries, leading to new insights and deeper understanding.

The gift of curiosity invites us to see the world not as a fixed reality, but as a space filled with mysteries and opportunities waiting to be uncovered. When we allow ourselves to wonder, we break free from limitations, opening ourselves to growth, creativity, and transformation…the way God created us to be.  It’s a reminder that every great invention, breakthrough, or change begins with a simple, curious question.

The power of curiosity lies in its ability to ignite a passion for exploration, pushing us beyond our comfort zones and encouraging us to ask “why” and “how.” It dismantles fear and hesitation, turning obstacles into opportunities for growth and development.

The Apostle Paul in his letter to the church in Ephesus reminds us “that God is able to do immeasurably more that all we can ask or imagine”. This reminds us that God’s power is limitless and beyond our human comprehension. The words “immeasurably more” highlight that what God can do exceeds even our most ambitious prayers, hopes, and dreams. It reminds us that God’s perspective and capacity, far surpasses our own, and He is able to bring about outcomes that are greater than anything we could ever envision.

It invites us to dream big and pray boldly, while trusting that God can accomplish even more than we could ever imagine.

My hope is that you would courageously reimagine, be curious to what might be possible and be open to what God has planned for us as part of His renewal of all things, a new creation in Him. May we not be limited by our imagination, but give thanks that we can be guided by the Creator’s limitless vision and understanding for our future.

Through God what might we dare to reimagine?

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be the glory… Amen! (Ephesians 3:20)
