Queensland Synod Fundraising Team - our hopes and aspirations for the future
28 October 2024
It has been three years since I joined the Synod in Fundraising, and what an eventful three years it has been. We have had amazing successes in the grants especially with our affordable housing but in every fundraising effort there is an opportunity to learn and grow and to think more creatively about how we can make a difference. My hope for 2025 is that we can be in touch with more congregations to learn more about your church and the community to which you belong. We want to celebrate your successes and learning from your challenges.
I am excited to share that our Fundraising team grew in August with the addition of Rebecca. She brings a wealth of knowledge and will be overseeing the bequest program, assisting with your appeals, and forging new connections in philanthropic funding.
“A bequest can profoundly impact a congregation, a reminder to us all of the lasting legacy one person can create. In the coming year, we hope that by working together, the bequest program information will help congregation members who wish to leave a lasting legacy by supporting their congregation through planned gifts,” said Rebecca
Next year will also see us build relationships with philanthropic funders of all sizes. Our aim is that these funders will support vital work in community services, improve facilities, and help launch new initiatives that align with our mission. Funding that could strengthen our ability to serve members and continue to foster a spirit of generosity and unity within our communities. By investing in congregations, funders create a lasting impact that ensures the continued growth and vitality of our shared faith and values.
We would love to hear from you so please contact fundraising@ucaqld.com.au.
