Events

With the cancellation of the National Young Adult Leaders Gathering in Adelaide in January 2021, the Assembly President Dr Deidre Palmer is hosting a series of online gatherings for Uniting Church young adults. The aim is to hear how they are going during this pandemic, to hear their reflections on how to be the church in this time, and to encourage and support them. These events will be held on the following dates:

• Sunday 15 November 2020 from 5pm–6.30pm AEST.
• Sunday 25 November 2020 from 7.30pm–9pm AEST.
• Friday 11 December 2020 from 7.30pm–9pm AEST.

We look forward to sharing quality time with you at this event on 28 November 2020 at Merthyr Road Uniting Church from 9am–12pm presented by Brian O’Hanlon

* The morning retreat will be based on the psalm: “Be still (empty) and know that I am God”.
* Reviewing ideas of philosophers to explore evidence for “Heaven on Earth”.
* Reflecting on contemplation, attention, prayer and awareness as personal experience; and
integrating these experiences into spiritual work into and staying in presence.
* Tea and coffee served. BYO food and water bottle.

Tickets are $25 or $15 concession.
