Newlife Brisbane and St Andrews Uniting Church celebrate the 49th Anniversary of The Uniting Church in Australia

On Sunday, 21st June, the eve of the 49th Anniversary of the Uniting Church in Australia, Newlife Brisbane and St Andrews Uniting Church joined together for a combined worship service. The service saw the coming together of generations and expressions of worship and singing, with a stunning organ and choir alongside contemporary guitars and drums led by Rachel Hocking and Ps. Scott McKinnon.

Reverend Leonie Gaffel delivered a sermon on what it means to be united by and in Christ within the Uniting Church. Following the service, the two communities shared a sausage sizzle together along with a UCA Birthday Cake. The morning was enjoyed by new-borns and ninety-year-olds alike!
