• Monitor Local Media: Keep an eye on local radio stations and news outlets for the latest information and updates during a flood event[1]. 

Prepare Your Property 

• Emergency Kit: Ensure you have an emergency kit ready, including essentials like water, non-perishable food, medications, and important documents[1]. 
• Sandbags: Collect sandbags from Council depots at Darra, Morningside, Newmarket, and Zillmere if at risk of rising floodwaters[1].
