Titles to land owned by the church show the registered proprietor as The Uniting Church in Australia Property Trust (Q.). This includes facilities such as churches, halls, manses, aged care facilities, hospitals, schools and childcare centres.

As trustee, the trust holds the all property for the beneficiaries, who are the members of the church. Congregations, Presbyteries, Agencies are given use and are referred to as the “Responsible Body” and are responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the property. There are certain delegations given to the Synod, agency, congregation or presbytery will need to engage with the Finance investment and Property Board and the Property Trust for any major works projects outside your delegations and any buying, selling or leasing of property transactions.
