The Uniting Church in Australia (the Church) is a large uniquely Australian Christian denomination in Australia with heritage from historical reformed evangelical denominations. In Queensland, the Uniting Church has around 250 congregations and has schools, colleges and large community services (such as UnitingCare Queensland and Wesley Mission Queensland).

We are seeking an individual to join our Strategic Mission team and focus on providing administration support to the Project Manager (Uniting Leaders) consistent with a project management framework.

The position’s key responsibilities include:

  1. Work as a team member in project planning, communication, delegations and delivery.
  2. Undertake administrative, co-ordinating and logistical tasks associated with the project, including arranging project meetings as required and support the Project Manager
  3. Create and manage a database of members and key stakeholders
  4. Coordination of events and event management
  5. Management of communication platforms – website, Facebook and other media
  6. Ensure appropriate regulatory and risk compliance strategies for the project are attended to.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  1. Demonstrated experience with project coordination.
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to be flexible, to work in time pressured situations, and deliver on agreed goals.
  4. Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.

Remuneration

Remuneration negotiations with the successful candidate will be within the applicable remuneration range.
