The Queensland Synod of the Uniting Church is looking for suitable people to serve on the many Synod governing bodies that support the governance of our church. We welcome expressions of interest from people of diverse backgrounds, for example young people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, people from multicultural backgrounds and women.
To be considered for a position on one of the many Synod governing bodies, nominees must possess the following mandatory general governance skills:
- communication skills
- corporate governance and commitment
- critical reflection
- financial literacy
- strategic thinking
- theological understanding.

These important roles provide appropriate governance of the Synod and its agencies while richly blessing and offering development opportunities to the individuals who contribute.
