Celebrating the Season of Creation
‘Let justice and peace flow.’
Season of Creation is an annual global movement where Christian communities pray and act to care for God’s creation, beginning September 1 (World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation) and ending October 4 (the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of Ecology).
The international theme for 2023 is “Let justice and peace flow”. The symbol is a mighty river, a reference to the cry of the prophet Amos: “But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” (Amos 5:24)
International resources, including promotional material, liturgical resources, prayer card, celebration guide and more. Also in Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.
