The National Executive Development Program is a course that aims to provide professional development for current and emerging leaders within the Uniting Church.

The course recognises that executive leadership skills are essential for current and potential leaders across the Uniting Church. Students will participate in a number of intensives and enjoy a cohort experience with peers while receiving a Graduate Certificate at the conclusion of the course.

The Queensland Synod will sponsor two positions in the program. Please submit an expression of interest form to AB Giri by 10 January 2020. Please note, if you are unsuccessful in receiving a scholarship, it is still possible to participate in the course by registering directly and independently to participate.

The scholarship attracts a large number of applications and are therefore highly competitive.

There are few steps involved in the application process, and these are outlined below. Please note this process is for the Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod.

  1. Expression of Interest: To be considered for this program, you must complete an Expression of Interest Application Form.
  2. Shortlisting: The Executive Leadership Team will review all Expressions of Interest received. They may contact you at this stage to request more information or to have an informal discussion about your suitability and interest for the program.
  3. Confirmation of application: Once the shortlisting is complete, the selected two applicants will be notified of their confirmation on the program.
  4. Commencement: Successful applicants will commence the program in March 2020.
