Support Chaplaincy

There are a number of ways you can support chaplaincy within the Queensland Synod.

Share the chaplaincy video

The chaplaincy video captures the depth and breadth of a day in the life of a Uniting Church chaplain as they journey with people in hard times and good. Please share this video on social media or play it in church or at your church event to help demonstrate the diversity of chaplaincy in the Uniting Church and celebrate the important work our chaplains do.

Participate in Chaplaincy Sunday

Chaplaincy Sunday is an annual event that encourages church communities to focus on the ministry of chaplaincy one Sunday a year. The theme changes year-to-year and, while a date is suggested, resources could be used at any time during the year. Resources are available here.

Invite a chaplain to speak at your church or event

Who better to hear from about this important work than a chaplain themselves? Why not investigate who the chaplains are in your local area; within your congregation, local schools, Blue Care facilities, hospitals or sporting teams.

If you need assistance, contact Synod Chaplaincy Commission executive officer, Rev Keren Seto, on keren.seto@ucaqld.com.au or phone 07 3377 9762.

Leave a gift in your Will or a bequest

If chaplaincy is a matter close to your heart, you could leave a gift in your Will or a bequest to support chaplaincy in the Queensland Synod. This gift or bequest could be used to assist funding existing chaplaincy programs, establishing new chaplaincy initiatives or providing chaplaincy education. For information on gifts in Wills and bequests please refer to the Mission Possible section of this website.

Donate to chaplaincy

If you would like to make a donation towards a specific area of chaplaincy, contact Synod Chaplaincy Commission executive officer, Rev Keren Seto, on keren.seto@ucaqld.com.au or phone 07 3377 9762.
