$10 for 10 Appeal – this Appeal is now closed and donations will not be accepted.

The $10 for 10 Appeal was launched in 2014 in collaboration with the Schools Commission to enable funding for learning pathways for Indigenous students in Uniting Church schools (Years 10 – 12).

The Uniting Church Foundation Indigenous Learning Pathways grants were awarded annually to assist financially disadvantaged students with costs of TAFE training/course fees, study resources/equipment as well as ancillary expenses such as travel and learning support.

The objective of the Appeal and the mission project was to enhance the post-school employment prospects of these students. The Uniting Church has direct responsibility for several independent schools in Queensland. There are a total of 317 Indigenous students in this group of schools (August 2014 Census). These Indigenous students come from a wide catchment including Western Australia, Victoria, Northern Territory, remote Queensland and across the Torres Strait.
